Realized during NY20+ Residency / Chengdu / 02-03.2024
The Bonsaï Font is inspired by the shapes of bonsai trees in the garden of Wuhous Shrine, in Chengdu.
The font has been used to translate the artist’s texts and notes during the residency period, which have been written down on a large sheet of calligraphy paper using hibiscus flowers and Chinese inks. The Hibiscus flower is known as one of the symbols of Chengdu.
